My Story
From an early age, I felt deeply drawn to understanding the human mind, consciousness, and the wisdom found within different cultures and spiritual traditions. This curiosity inspired me to explore beyond familiar boundaries and seek deeper meaning through learning and personal experience. During my twenties, I spent several years living and traveling throughout East Asia, where I immersed myself in Chinese language studies and discovered the transformative practices of Qigong, meditation, and energy healing. These experiences expanded my perspective and awakened a profound appreciation for the beauty, diversity, and interconnectedness of our world.
My academic journey reflects both my passion for cultural understanding and my commitment to supporting others through healing and personal growth. I earned my undergraduate degree in International Studies and Chinese Language from University of the Pacific, where I deepened my knowledge of global cultures and communication. I later completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling at Thomas University, combining psychological theory with practical counseling skills. I currently hold an LPCA in the state of Oregon and continue to integrate both modern therapeutic approaches and holistic wellness practices into my work.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and deeply compassionate, with careful attention given to your unique experiences, values, and life story. I believe every individual is worthy of love, connection, and understanding, regardless of the fears, doubts, or struggles they may be facing. Alongside traditional counseling methods, I also incorporate mind-body practices and holistic techniques that encourage emotional balance, self-awareness, and inner resilience. Our work together will focus on acceptance, flexibility, and steadily moving toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.
I warmly welcome multicultural individuals, families, and people from diverse spiritual or religious backgrounds into the healing process. I deeply value the wisdom and strengths that different cultural traditions and belief systems can bring to personal growth and emotional healing. Alongside my professional and academic training, I have devoted many years to the study and teaching of ancient mind-body healing arts. As a YOQI certified Associate Qigong Instructor, I guide others through meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and energy-based wellness practices that support emotional balance and inner clarity. My training has taken me across Taiwan and Thailand, where I studied extensively under experienced teachers and practitioners of these traditional healing systems. Through these teachings, I have developed a grounded and compassionate approach that blends clinical knowledge with ancient wisdom to support healing, self-awareness, and personal transformation.
At Clear Light Counseling, I believe healing begins by reconnecting with your natural state of balance, clarity, and inner light. My approach is holistic, meaning we look at the whole person rather than only focusing on symptoms or difficulties. I support individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship and intimacy concerns, major life transitions, and the search for deeper meaning and purpose. Together, we create a safe and supportive space where healing, self-discovery, and personal growth can naturally unfold.
